If you want to download some pics or vids from an Instagram story and don't want the OP being notified of your screenshot, you can
1) open Instagram on desktop:
https://www.instagram.com/
2) open console (F12 on Chrome/PC)
3) start playing your friend story
4) press the three buttons above the story to pause it
5) paste this code in the console if you want to download a pic:
document.getElementsByClassName('y-yJ5')[0].src
or paste this if you want to download a video:
document.getElementsByClassName('_ntjhp _6kyf0')[0].firstChild.src
6) right click on the link you get and select "open in another tab" then right click on the media you just opened, "save (...) as".
That's it, simple AF.
